Fast & The Furious 6: Trailer
Feb 22, 2013 - 12:54 PM - by Admin

Fast & Furious 6 (alternatively known as Fast Six) is an upcoming action film written by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin. It is the sixth installment in the Fast and the Furious film series. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster will star.

Fast & Furious 6 was in development by February 2010 as the first film in the series to move away from the underground car-racing theme of the series' previous films which was considered to have placed a barrier on audience numbers. Pre-production had begun by April 2011, and principal photography began in London, England in July 2012. Filming locations also include the Canary Islands, Scotland, and Los Angeles. The film is scheduled for release on May 24, 2013.

After the events of Fast Five, professional criminal Dominic Toretto and his crew are wealthy, but their criminal records prevent them from... [Read More]

2013 Nissan Sentra Teased, New Sedan Previewed as Sylphy at Beijing Show Read more:
Apr 22, 2012 - 8:12 PM - by Admin

Nissan has made no secret of its plans to dramatically reshape its U.S.-market lineup, with its pronouncement that five new models are on the way in rapid succession over the next year or so. Now it’s the Nissan Sentra’s turn in the makeover chair, as evidenced by the first official teaser photo and video of the new 2013 Nissan Sentra in SR trim. Meanwhile, over in China at the 2012 Beijing auto show, Nissan is busy showing off its new Nissan Sylphy (at right), the Asian market version of the coming Sentra.

Following in the tire tracks of the recently revealed, all-new Pathfinder and Altima, the next-generation 2013 Nissan Sentra will be officially revealed later this summer in advance of its rollout to dealerships this fall.

So far, Nissan isn’t saying much of anything about the new 2013 Sentra, but the compact, front-drive sedan will no doubt come equipped with an application of its next-generation Xtronic CVT it has started rolling out to its... [Read More]

2012 Nissan Sentra 2.0 S: Innovation That Connects
Feb 26, 2012 - 6:49 PM - by Admin

The Nissan Sentra has four trim levels (Sentra 2.0, Sentra 2.0 S, Sentra 2.0 SL and Sentra 2.0 SR) plus two ultimate sport compacts (Sentra SE-R and Sentra SE-R Spec V) that have added up to 200 hp and numerous high-performance features.

My Sentra 2.0 S has a suggested retail price of $17,990 while getting a city mpg of 27 and a highway mpg of 34. That’s over 400 miles between fill-ups.

Advanced technologies like Bluetooth and a navigation system with real-time traffic updates could add an additional $2,000, but even without these items Sentra 2.0 S is packed with all sorts of possibilities.

The Sentra has a powerful 2.0 L DOHC 4-cylinder engine with 140 hp and 147 lb-ft torque. The CVT (continuously variable transmission) is “gearless.” It keeps the engine performing in optimal rpm ranges for efficient cruising and fast response.

Inside, Sentra is amazingly spacious, from the massive glove compartment that is deeper than a well to the... [Read More]

The price is right for this soon-to-be-replaced Nissan
Jan 25, 2012 - 7:55 AM - by Admin

With a redesigned 2013 Sentra likely arriving in Nissan showrooms this year, why should you consider buying one of the 2012 versions?

Well, despite being introduced for 2007 – which makes it pretty dated and having a rather stark and minivan-ish interior only a Nissan bean counter could love – it’s still a decent little sedan in most ways. And one of the more important ones is price.

The test Sentra 2.0, which was driven in the latter part of 2011, came with a price sheet indicating a $15,478 starting point, to which was added a $2,000 value option package, a $1,300 continuously variable automatic transmission and an entirely frivolous and I-don’t-see-the-point $300 for triple-coat paint. Add $1,467 in freight and PDI charges and you end up with a pre-tax price of $20,545.

However, if you go to Nissan’s website and dial in an Ontario postal code, you’ll find the same $15,478 base price, $2,000 for options and $1,300 for auto transmission – forget... [Read More]

Used Vehicle Review: Nissan Sentra, 2007-2011
Dec 08, 2011 - 6:50 AM - by Admin

Review and photos by Chris Chase

The 2007 Nissan Sentra replaced a previous-generation car that was about as dull as a small sedan could get, and so this sixth-generation model brought with it the promise of a personality injection.

Well, we could hope, couldn’t we? As before, the only version of this then-new Sentra that offered anything to boast about was the high-performance SE-R model, which used a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that made 177 horsepower in the SE-R, and 200 in the even sportier Spec-V. Regular grade Sentras shared a 2.0-litre four-cylinder good for 140 horsepower.

A six-speed manual transmission was standard in 2.0-litre cars, with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) offered as the automatic option. The SE-R, surprisingly, came standard with a CVT, this one with a manual-shift model operated with paddle shifters. The Spec V used a... [Read More]

2011 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V Review
Jan 23, 2011 - 9:09 AM - by Admin

If you’re in the market for a compact car that offers performance and handling without compromising space for the family, and you can’t quite swing for near $30K price of the Volkswagen GTI, you might be looking at a Honda Civic Si. Nissan, however, has an alternative in the form of the Sentra SE-R.

There’s no reason to choose a boring transportation appliance when we have kids. Although a minivan or a small SUV would be more practical, nobody’s forcing you to get one if a car is all you want.

The SE-R version of the Sentra looks the part. It distinguishes itself from lesser Sentra trims with its chromeless grille, blacked-out headlight and taillight clusters, squared-off front bumper, side sill extensions, rear spoiler and gunmetal 17-inch alloy wheels. The Spec V variant we’re testing doesn’t get any additional eye candy; the only difference, actually, is W-rated summer performance tires compared to the standard SE-R’s V-rated rubber, which isn’t really visible anyhow.
